Overview
In this article, we will explore the concept of postback rules and their significance in the iGaming industry. Postback rules are crucial for tracking key events, such as First Time Deposits (FTD), player registrations, or re-deposits, which are associated with affiliate performance. This guide will walk you through the steps of setting up postback rules on the Affnook platform, ensuring affiliates are accurately credited for player actions. We’ll also cover how these rules automate data sharing between your platform and affiliates, ultimately optimizing campaign performance and maintaining transparency in affiliate relationships.
Steps to Set Up Postback Rules
Below-mentioned are the steps to setup postback rules on the platform.
Step 1: Access the Postback Rules and Click on Add Rule
Go to Automation on the left-hand menu, then click on Postback Rules.
Click Add Rule to create a new rule.
Step 2: Fill up the form
Select Affiliate
Choose the affiliate from the drop-down menu. This will determine which affiliate the postback applies to.
Note: You can select multiple affiliates if you want the same rule to apply to more than one.
Select Campaign
From the campaign list, select the one you want to apply this postback rule to. If you want the rule to apply to all campaigns, keep this field blank.
Select the Event
Pick the event you want to apply this rule, such as First Time Deposit (FTD) or Re-deposit. This will trigger the postback when the event occurs.
Add Postback Rules
In the Rules section, select the Operation from the drop-down menu. You can choose between:
Equals: The rule will trigger when the event equals the specified value.
Greater Than Equals: The rule will trigger when the event value is greater than or equal to the specified value.
Value: Enter the numerical value for the selected operation. For example, if you want to trigger the postback when the deposit is greater than or equal to 100, enter 100.
Currency: Select the currency that will be used for the value.
Note: For multi-currency campaigns, ensure you set up separate postback rules for each currency to avoid miscalculations in reporting.
Step 3: Review and Submit
After filling out the fields, click Submit to save the rule.
You’ll now see the rule listed with its status as Active.
Filter Options
You can filter out the rules based on campaign, affiliate and event.
