AppsFlyer Integration with Affnook
Overview
Affnook supports a native integration with AppsFlyer to fetch and track conversion data through postbacks. This integration enables advertisers and partners to monitor app events, conversions, and goal-based activities directly within the Affnook panel — without needing to manually reconcile data across platforms.
With this integration, you can create custom Goals based on your business requirements and track corresponding conversion data seamlessly across campaigns.
How the Integration Works
Affnook uses its built-in Goal Conversion Postback mechanism to receive conversion data sent from AppsFlyer.
Once the integration is set up:
AppsFlyer sends conversion and activity events to Affnook via postbacks in real time.
You can configure Goals within your campaigns to correspond to specific conversion events.
Goal-specific payouts and revenues are automatically tracked and reflected in your reports and activity logs.
Setting Up the AppsFlyer Integration
Step 1 — Create a Brand and Campaign
Before configuring the integration, ensure you have the necessary campaign structure in place:
Navigate to the Brands section in Affnook and create a new Brand, or use an existing one that corresponds to your AppsFlyer advertiser.
Create a Campaign under that Brand specifically for your AppsFlyer traffic. This campaign will be the one receiving and tracking the postback data from AppsFlyer.
Having a dedicated campaign ensures that conversion events are attributed correctly and reports remain clean and organized.
Step 2 — Navigate to the Integration Settings
Once your Brand and Campaign are ready:
From the main navigation, go to Automation.
Under Automation, click on Integration.
This section houses all third-party integration configurations available within Affnook.
Step 3 — Configure the AppsFlyer Postbacks
On the Integration page:
Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate the AppsFlyer configuration block.
Click on Config for AppsFlyer.
You will find two postback URLs available:
Postback | Purpose |
Global Install Postback | Tracks app install events sent from AppsFlyer |
Global Event Postback | Tracks in-app activity and custom events sent from AppsFlyer |
Copy these postback URLs and configure them within your AppsFlyer account under the appropriate postback or partner settings. This tells AppsFlyer where to send conversion data whenever an install or event occurs.
Important: Both postbacks must be configured on the AppsFlyer side for full event tracking coverage. The Install Postback handles top-of-funnel attribution, while the Event Postback captures deeper in-app activities.
Step 4 — Map Activities to AppsFlyer Event Values
With the postbacks in place, the final step is to ensure Affnook correctly identifies and maps the events it receives from AppsFlyer.
In the AppsFlyer integration configuration panel, locate the Activity Mapping section.
For each event you wish to track, select the corresponding Activity from the dropdown menu and map it to the event value sent by AppsFlyer (e.g.,
af_bets,af_complete_registration).
This mapping ensures that when AppsFlyer sends an event, Affnook knows which Activity or Goal it corresponds to, allowing accurate reporting and payout calculations.
Note: These event will be shown in activity report.
Creating a Goal for Unmapped Activities
If a particular activity or event is not available in the dropdown menu during mapping, it means a corresponding Goal has not yet been created for that event in your campaign.
To resolve this:
Navigate to the Campaign associated with your AppsFlyer integration.
Go to the Goals section within the campaign settings.
Create a new Goal that represents the specific event you want to track (e.g., "Level Complete").
Once the Goal is saved, return to the Integration configuration and the activity will now be available in the dropdown for mapping.
This flexibility allows you to tailor tracking to any custom event your app fires — beyond standard install tracking.
Note: This event will be shown in conversion Report.
Note:
If an event is created as a Goal within the campaign and the same event is also mapped during the AppsFlyer integration setup, the event will be recorded twice and displayed separately in both the Conversion Report and Activity Report.
To avoid duplicate conversion tracking, ensure that a single event is configured using only one of the following methods:
Either map the event during the AppsFlyer integration setup
Or create the event as a Goal within the campaign
Do not configure the same event using both methods simultaneously.
Once fully configured, conversion data from AppsFlyer will flow into Affnook automatically, populating your reports, activity logs, and payout calculations in real time.
