Prior to making your campaign live for affiliates, it is strongly advised to run a postback test to ensure that the postback configuration for that specific affiliate is correct and that activities are seamlessly passed to the affiliate.
Steps to conduct Affiliate Postback Test
Below mentioned are the steps that you need to follow to conduct affiliate postback test on the panel:-
Step 1: Generate Tracking Link
It is necessary to create a tracking link for the affiliate and then share it with them in order to create a campaign and generate a test link for the affiliate's postback test.
When the affiliate creates a campaign using the URL you provided, they will generate a test link and send it to you for the postback test.

Step 2: Add postback
If the affiliate's postback is not configured and the postback test is run, the activity will be recorded, but the postback will not be sent to the affiliate. The main goal of the publisher postback test is to see if the system is correctly firing the postback to the affiliate, so it is necessary to add a postback before running the test.

To ensure a successful event or activity firing to the affiliate, please make sure that the correct affnook macros in the affiliate postback are updated.
Step 3: Postback Test
Go to the Manage section and click on Affiliates, you will land on the Manage Affiliates section, and you need to navigate to the postback testing page.
In the Test Tracking Link field, paste the test link of the affiliate and click on Run Test.
Step 4: Checking the Test Result
Once the postback test has been successfully done, it will be shown as below.
Check if the activity is recorded successfully or not and if the postback is sent to the affiliate or not. If NO, ask your affiliate to check the test link. If YES, then it is advisory to delete or cancel the recorded activity through the logs captured at your panel.
